Week 13 Sunday 4PM Slate Thoughts & Picks

If you’re reading this during the 1PM EST games, we are hopefully well on our way to some victories. There are however three games in the later window, and I hadn’t had a chance to get into them earlier. After some research, I did find a couple of props I like a lot during these games. The potential NFC Championship matchup between the 49ers and Eagles surprisingly did not yield anything of serious interest to me. It should be a close game with thin margins and things could go either way. I found one prop I like in each of the other two games, so let’s see it.

Baker Mayfield under 223.5 passing yards -115

Baker has been up and down this year, but has posted some solid yardage totals. This is more about the quality of the Panthers defense than anything. They haven’t allowed a 200+ yard passer in their last five games, which includes contests against Dak Prescott and C.J. Stroud. The two projection models I checked have 173 and 216 yards projected, and there’s a reasonable chance we see some rain in this game too. The Panthers are top five in fewest pass yards allowed per game, and that should continue here.

Royce Freeman over 24.5 rushing yards -115

Freeman has beaten this total convincingly in five straight, including last week with Kyren Williams returning to the lead role. The Rams have been steadily decreasing their pass volume, and it would be unwise to attack the league-best Browns pass defense. Given the Browns are starting Joe Flacco and thus unlikely to score much, the Rams could find themselves nursing an early lead and leaning even more heavily on the run game. Williams may lead the backfield, but this number is too low for a player who should see 7-10+ rush attempts.

As always, these are my thoughts and your picks are your own. Gamble responsibly, have fun, and good luck to us!
