Turkey Day Check-In + Weird Friday Game?

Yesterday was a fantastic day here at the Chop! All three of the props we posted were winners, and though Montomgery was a sweat, the other two came in easily. We even posted our boosted Anytime Touchdown parlay from Draftkings that included Montgomery, Cooks, and McCaffrey at +811, and that was also a winner! I hope you tailed, and I hope your Thanksgiving was full of good food and good company. Strangely enough, there is a Friday day today, as Amazon Prime gets a game to broadcast to replace their lack of a Thursday game. There’s a couple of props I do like, so let’s take a look at them.

Raheem Mostert over 62.5 rushing yards -130

With the electric rookie Devon Achane out another week, Raheem Mostert again looks to get the bulk of the carries in Miami’s backfield. He’s topped 80 rushing yards in the last two games, and has topped this total in six of ten games on the season. The Jets have an excellent secondary, and as a result teams have consistently attacked them on the ground this season. They’ve allowed a 68+ yard rusher in six of their last eight contests, and an early Miami lead could encourage the Dolphins to soak up some clock. Of note, the game time temperature is looking to be in the high-40s, and Tua Tagovailoa is 0-5 in his career when kickoff temp is sub-50 degrees. If the Dolphins want to get out of New York with a healthy win on a short week, it will include plenty of Raheem Mostert.

Dalvin Cook over 10.5 rushing yards -115

The Jets quarterback mess continues, as they start Tim Boyle this week. Tim Boyle has three career starts, all for Detroit in 2021, and has thrown three touchdowns against nine interceptions in five seasons. If Aaron Rodgers is going to return this year to play in games that actually matter, the Jets have to win this week. If they want to win this week, they will need to move the chains on the ground, keep Miami’s offense sidelined, and make the game simple for Tim Boyle. Cook has had a single carry go for 10+ yards in the last two games, and has beaten this total in seven of ten games on the year. He should get mixed in for a bit of work as the Jets try to batter down the Dolphins.
